•First of all, the section covers the reasons why you might choose WordPress. There are many great reasons to work with this software, and much will depend on your circumstances. However, some of the most common benefits are that it is a very customisable platform that allows you to create websites, blogs or apps that you can manage straight from your mobile phone. Users also comment on how easy it is to work with and that the online community offers excellent help and support, which is perfect when you are trying to figure something out quickly and aren't having much luck.
The purpose of our third section is to fully install WordPress to our PC, following this set-up work that you did in the previous section to install the XAMPP server. Once you have successfully installed WordPress, you will be ready to work creating customized websites, apps and blogs with the easy to use software.
You will find out more about how to start your XAMPP engine to access your WordPress blog on your local system in this section, enabling you to get to grips with the basics of navigating around the different functionalities of the system.
This section focuses on supporting you to write your first post successfully on WordPress and how to create and organise your posts within the system.
Before doing this, the section offers you a good overview of what a post is and its purpose. Then, it explains the different possible components of a post, including images, texts, videos, titles and audio, for example, and how posts are a great way of communicating with your target audience and keeping them updated or passing information to them.
In this section, you will learn all about using categories in WordPress and their importance in the organization of your website. Categories are used to filter and sort the content of your website into specific subsections, thus offering a much more user-friendly approach for visitors to the site and allowing them to find information that they need more quickly. In addition, they help your website to look and feel well-structured and easy to navigate
This section aims to provide you with an overview of a very important feature of your website in progress, the pages that it consists of.
